Common questions about plans & billing

Why a 2-year plan and not just annual?

The 2-Year All-Device plan is our best-value tier — locking in two years up front lets us offer it well below the hourly equivalent. Most homes need 4–6 hours of support per year; this plan saves roughly $400 vs. paying hourly. If you'd prefer annual, the 4-Device plan ($800/yr) is the better fit.

What counts as a "device"?

Anything we actively support: laptops, desktops, printers, smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, routers, WiFi cameras, NAS units. We don't count things like smart bulbs or your toothbrush. On the 2-Year All-Device plan there's no count — every device in the household is covered.

What happens if I exceed 4 on-site visits?

Additional visits are billed at $65 per visit (vs. the $90/hr standard rate) — plan members always get the better price. If you find you're using more than 4 visits a year regularly, the Unlimited tier is usually the smarter math.

Are parts and accessories included?

Labor is included; parts are not — we don't make money on parts. If we recommend a new SSD or a router, we tell you the part number and you can buy it anywhere. If you'd like us to source it, we pass our cost through with no markup, plus your plan's accessory discount (20%–30%).

Can I cancel mid-year?

Yes. Annual plans are pro-rated — we refund unused months minus any visits already used at the hourly equivalent. We don't lock anyone into a relationship they don't want.

Do plans include data recovery from a failed drive?

Standard logical recovery (deleted files, formatted drives) is included on all annual plans. Physical recovery (clicking drives, electrical damage, head-crashes) requires specialized lab work and is quoted separately — plan members pay our wholesale rate with no markup.

We have 12 staff — is Unlimited the right plan?

Likely yes — Unlimited starts to make sense around 5–7 actively-supported devices. For 12+ staff we often customize a managed-IT contract with on-site staff days and an SLA tier. Call us and we'll walk through your specific setup before quoting.

Do you offer non-profit or senior discounts?

Yes — 10% off any annual plan for registered 501(c)(3) non-profits, and 10% off the hourly rate and the 2-Year plan for anyone 65 or older. Bring proof on the first visit.
